I am a beautiful, brown Bengal who’s about 7 years old. I’m active, energetic, playful, inquisitive and highly intelligent. I have many favorite toys and games, love to jump up high, especially onto soffets, and am astonishingly athletic. I’m not a couch potato, and I love to be in the thick of things. I will follow you room to room, or just run down the hall, ask you what we’re doing and where we’re going and then help you out with your chore. I’ll be a constant source of entertainment as I stalk, pounce, chase, fetch, and generally revel in the exuberance of life. I’m happy and affectionate, and will greet you with meows and coos, flops and rolls. In fact, we can have entire conversations. After all, I see this as a genuine 2-way relationship (though I don’t expect you to flop and roll on the floor like I do, a treat for me will do nicely). I like to nuzzle faces, snuggle up on the laps, pillows or desks of my loved ones and curl up into a happy little ball and fall fast asleep. So you could say I’m neither aloof, nor dull and quiet. I’m self-assured, devoted and resilient. Oh, and I love my circulating water fountain! I was hit by a car in 2015 but you’d never know it except for the fact I’m now blind in one eye impacting my peripheral vision. (And I come with a clean bill of health from Dr. Franklin at Laurelwood Animal Clinic.) I would prefer a mature household and to be the only pet or cat. Frankly, I really don’t think you need any other cats with me around. For that matter, dogs aren’t necessary either with my rather dog-like characteristics, though I loved the large, gentle dog I lived with until she passed away several years ago. I’ve never lived with children, so while I’m fine around them, I don’t really understand them. It’d be best if you’ve already owned a Bengal or are familiar with my larger than life personality, and not just appreciate me for my beauty. I have been an indoor-outdoor cat the past few years, but with only partial sight, I now need to be indoor-only, which I’ve successfully been before. As long as I have toys, play and love, I’ll be fine, though I’m secretly hoping to have some kind of safe, restricted access to the outside such as a catio or careful kitty fence that can protect me from my wily ways. My original owner took me in as a rescue and died with me by her side. Her family tried but was unable to take me, and I had to be rehomed to a retired gentleman who can no longer care for me. I am looking for my last, forever home where I will light up your life with entertainment, interest and affection. Are you my new Meow-Ma or Meow-Pa?
