I come in the door and Pennie runs up to great me. She insists that I pet her and she dashes over to her favorite cat tree to roll onto her back for a tummy rub. She chirps her hello (and probably her disapproval that I have been gone so long) but as soon as I sit down she is by my side.

Pennie is a pretty, medium-sized cat about 3 years old, covered with stripes of orange and umber with eyes that are green or gold depending on the light. She isn’t fond of other cats – maybe from her days on the street after her owner abandoned her? – but she does like the dogs that come to visit and she loves adult human interaction at all times. Pennie was not treated well by the children in her former home so she would prefer that her new home have only adults.

Pennie loves her mice with rattles inside and she tosses them with vigor. She has a favorite battery-operated toy that I promised her will go to her new home as well as the cat tree if her new owner would like it. Pennie is looking for a kind cat-loving person - - if that is you, she will reward you with purrs, head butts in greeting. Pennie is currently at our office in Hillsboro and can be visited day or evening by appointment. The Adoption fee is $60 for an adult cat and the love is priceless! The adoption fee Includes spay/neuter, microchip, worming and flea treatment, current vaccines, vet exam and free 30-day insurance offer. Pennie is FIV and FeLV negative.
