This past summer, we became temporary caregivers for Esther, a beautiful 8yo long-haired tortie, when a friend who had been caring for her on behalf of his friend could no longer keep her (nor could the original owner take her back at this time). 

Esther is a sweet girl who has a very definite personality and likes things on her own terms- you may not be able to always pick up her up for a snuggle but she may turn right around and headbutt you vigorously, rubbing on your ankles and basking in your attention. She is always glad to see us when we come home and will follow us around, often plopping right next to us and purring up a storm. She's quite vocal and communicative and has a strong 'tortie personality'- think Grumpy Cat! She's very focused on people yet also is ok with times on her own. We believe she would do best in a quiet home with maybe one other cat of a mellow personality and no small children.

Esther is currently indoor only though she could be indoor/outdoor in a quiet area. She's spayed and up to date on vaccinations as of July. Her fur is easy to maintain and she's not overly sheddy. She likes to sit in sunny windows or curl up on soft bed and is a good companion once she settles into a new situation.
