Kate the cat has been a member of our family since she was 9 weeks old--she's currently approaching 9 years.  Through multiple moves and living situations, we've watched her personality morph from crazy-playful to relatively sedate, with a few key desires.  1)  The desire to eat!  2) The desire for cuddles, as in, being picked up like a baby and carried around 3) The desire to go outside and hang and chill on her own.
 
She's a really low-key cat in the right household, but we are no longer the right household.  She needs cat parents who either don't work from home, or, when they are home, can give Kate more attention than we can.  Even though she spends some time outside, she really does like to know her owner is around and likes to check in.  This is fun at times, but less fun when you're working from home, as both my husband and I do.  She's vocal and will let you know if she's not happy!
 
She's healthy and up to date on shots, and as my husband and I begin to think about having kids, we recognize that Kate will not respond well, as she's used to receiving attention and can become upset or jealous if our attention is on something else, or schedules change.  If you don't have children or another cat, and have a fairly consistent schedule, we both believe she'd be a pleasure for you to have.
