About TIM - "Community Service" Posting

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • Housetrained: Yes
Tim is a pretty Siamese, born in spring 2001. with us since Sept. 2001. He is neutered & front-declawed. He loves & is strongly bonded to people. He is the ultimate lap cat. He loves to sit on laps, cuddle & purr, or lie & cuddle up beside if he can't be on a lap. When I get up in the morning or return home, he comes to meow his hello. He likes to gently stroke his paw onto one's leg, asking for permission to get onto the lap. He likes to "talk" with his soft meow. When spoken to, he'll meow back. He is very accepting of being handled in most any kind way by people. He has seemed anxious in recent months since my allergies & asthma have prevented my cuddling him. When I repeatedly decline to cuddle, he stalks away & intently grooms himself; his tail is now short-hair slim instead of fluffy. He accepts gentle children who don't startle him. He naps a lot. Our 2 cats are mutually accepting, not bonded for happiness. He's comfortable with dogs, unless they try to startle him to trigger a sudden chase. He lives with 2 dogs & accepts our adult dog visitors. He hides for a while until he feels braver, coming out sooner with fewer dogs & people. He reliably uses a litter box. He eats Costco's Kirkland Maintenance Cat Chicken & Rice dry food, fed twice/day; ate other brands in the past. He has always lived only indoors. He had well-cat checks by veterinarians several times in life; last was 4/11/11. He had vaccinations including rabies as a kitten; had "Fvrcp Annual" last given 6/5/08. He has not had injuries. The only condition he has had is idiopathic cystitis (bladder inflammation of unknown cause, non-viral, non-bacterial), diagnosed in spring 2010. Please apply online at catscradlerescue.com or call 503-312-4296 for information. This cat is offered as a community service and Cat's Cradle is not making final decisions on re-homing but will refer you to the owner after you apply. Thank you for considering this nice Senior cat. Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes.
