Tom is a pretty black & white domestic short-hair cat. born in spring 2000, with us since Sept. 2000. He is neutered & front-declawed. He is friendly, likes people, likes to sit on laps some, seeks petting at times during the day when he wants attention. He greets with a variety of cat sounds & some meows. He is accepting of being handled kindly by people. He is very curious & the smartest cat I have known. He accepts gentle children who don't startle him. He naps a lot.
He had well-cat veterinarian exams several times in life, not recently; last was 4/11/11. He had vaccinations including rabies as a kitten; last was "Fvrcp Annual" given 6/5/08. He has always been healthy; no medical conditions, injuries or illnesses.
Our 2 cats are mutually accepting, not bonded for happiness. He's comfortable with dogs, unless they try to startle him to trigger a sudden chase. He lives with 2 dogs & accepts our adult dog visitors. He reliably uses a litter box. He eats Costco's Kirkland Maintenance Cat Chicken & Rice dry food, fed twice/day; ate other brands in the past. He loves to eat; easily gets obese with excess access to food. He has always lived only indoors.
