Josephine (Josie) isn't sure yet how to enjoy all that being a cat is about, but she's learning fast!
This beautiful grey/black Maine Coon with green eyes and fluffy fur is still a bit timid due to lots of moving and changes, but once she realizes you're here to love her, she loves you right back. Give her time, gentle approaches, and consistent encouragement and then watch her bloom. She purrs up a storm, wriggles in delight when stroked, and loves to play-- especially if it involves a laser mouse or fishing toy. She'll snuggle mightily when you place her on your lap, but she hasn't figured out that she can also jump up on her own. She also hasn't discovered the joy of sunny windowsills or hanging out on a bed, but you will have the pleasure of witnessing these things and more, we're sure.
Josie is nearly 8 months old. She has been an inside cat and will need to stay that way. She should also be an only cat, as she is easily dominated by more assertive personalities. It would probably be best for her to have a single human companion or a quiet twosome. She is spayed, litterbox trained, and FIV and FeLV negative.
