Birch is a sweet, outgoing boy who loves being the center of attention. He enjoys chasing things around the room and then perching on a human lap once the play time is done. He has a habit of watching humans with his big green eyes, expecting treats.

Birch is very food motivated. He enjoys most treats and food and has a bottomless stomach, gulping down big mouthfuls and still wanting more. He was very small and malnourished when we brought him home, which may explain this behavior. He can get a bit defensive of his food, so if you have other cats, it might be best to feed him separately.

He is otherwise very feline friendly and has lived with other cats his entire life. He would also be fine as an only cat, as long as his humans are attentive. Birch has not had much exposure to dogs. Although he is bold and playful in environments where he is comfortable, he can be a bit cautious about new people and places. Once he gets to know you, though, he is a little love bug full of personality. A home that can devote plenty of time for playtime and has cat trees for him to climb would be his dream.  Birch lives in Sandy with his caregiver.  He is indoor only and his rehoming fee is $50.
