Halo-Halo (which means “mix-mix” and is a layered Filipino dessert that you mix up
before eating) is a 3-month-old light tortoiseshell girl. She is cautious and slow to warm up to people, but once you earn her affection, her purr is one of the greatest rewards.
She likes to burrow under blankets (especially if the blanket is on a person), play with
her siblings, and climb to the top of her scratching post. She is very clever and always
seems to be scheming, so she loves to watch the world out the window. She would do
well as the only pet in a house that is familiar with cats, but she wouldn’t mind having
cat playmates. She would do well with older children who can understand that she
needs her space. Though she was born in a home with dogs, she has not had much
