Great Cats for Great Homes

We call him Nickel, he showed up one day on my patio and decided he wasn’t going to leave, he lived outside in a feral cat house throughout most of the winter and was brought inside after his neuter. He is not chipped and no one has claimed him, we believe he and 2 other cats were dumped. 

Nickel is a big boy at 16 pounds, we think he is around 3 years, but that is just a best guess. Nickel is now neutered and vaccinated. Nickel will let you hold him like a baby, he will sit on your lap and watch tv with you, he loves to play and make biscuits and even sucks on blankets when he makes biscuits, it’s so cute.  Nickel is very shy at first and takes a little bit of time to learn to trust, but once he does, it’s the best thing.

Nickel is fully box trained and would do best in a home with no other cats or dogs as he is still a bit territorial, and scared of dogs. A home with children over the age of 9 would be best as Nickel is still learning that he doesn’t have to be scared of everyone. Nickel will need to be an indoor only cat.

Nickel needs a loving home with a patient owner who realizes it may take a short bit of time for Nickel to adjust and trust you enough to become the sweet sweet special boy he is.    We would 100% keep him, but I have 2 cats of my own and my male cat is not accepting of another male cat at all, but honestly, I like his personality better than my 2 cats, because he is willing to let you hold him and he will lay with you, and the blanket sucking thing he does while he is making biscuits is super cute.  Although he can be scared and frisky, he is 100% worth the time of earning his trust. Nickel will come with a new custom made collar, bed, toys, any food we have left, and 1 month of flea meds.  Indoor only.  Adopt fee is $50.
