"I'm Gaia, a 1 year old tortie who is looking for a quiet, gentle and patient human to call my own. The last six months – half my life - were spent secluded in a basement because my previous owners didn't know they were allergic to cats before they adopted me. Oh, no! Thankfully I am in a much better place now, with a foster mom who appreciates that I'm a bit skittish and shy due to my long stint in solitude.

It didn't take me long in my new home to realize I love to climb and my new favorite spot to hang out and keep an eye on things is on top of the kitchen cabinets. I can see everything from up here! When I'm on the ground, though, I love to spend time running around my human getting exercise while being pet. Though I'm partial to my nesting spots when I want to nap, mom is teaching me to be a lap kitty. I don't mind getting used to cuddles with my human.

Recently I discovered catnip. Ever heard of it? You roll around in it till it's stuck all over you, then lick it off and fall asleep. The only thing better than catnip is the red-dot!  I'm still not sure where the red dot comes from, but I know that if I go get mom she always seems to know where to find it. I hope my next human knows how to find it, too. If not then I always have my trusty stuffed chameleon, who came with me from my old home. I'm hoping my new home won't mind him coming with me.
