I adopted Bee Gee from the Oregon Humane society when she was 8 weeks old. She is now 12 and very affectionate. I adopted her and her brother thinking that they would make good therapy cats for my wife who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2010. It worked, they really made my wife's life better. They were indoor cats for 5 years and after that, with my wife living with Alzheimer's, there was no such thing as closed doors or indoor only cats.

Bee Gee was very close with her brother and they would snuggle all of the time. He passed on 10/5/22. Now, Bee Gee is asking for love and attention most of the time and this is way too much for me. I love her but I cannot live with her. She needs a different family to love. Possibly other pets to love would be a real plus, an adjustment but a plus. Bee Gee lives alone with me (Jim). She lives in a 2,700 square foot house with 32 stairs. We live on the side of a hill and she gets lots of exercise when she is outside in the back yard.

When she is outside she avoids the busy street in front of the house. Bus and truck noises scare her and so she does not go near the street. The coyote population in my neighborhood has surged recently and if Bee Gee were to become an indoor only cat, that may be a good idea.

Recently Laurelwood Animal Hospital performed a complete physical. I have the results from that visit that I could pass along. This is one healthy lady with the exception that Dr. Erdman recommended that Bee Gee has her teeth cleaned and probably 1 or two extractions. This is scheduled for April and I will pay for this.
