LILLIE -Offered by Owner - Sweet Senior needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start? Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about her.
Lillie's owner passed on at 92 years old. I have been caring for her since then. (I was the Lillie's owners caregiver. She was like a grandmother to me.) Because I have other animals (rabbits) and Lillie can't be with them, she has very little physical space currently. She would be much happier with more room. I also do not have a lot of time to spend with her. She absolutely loves pets, cuddles and sleeping next to her owner. Lillie is a very chilled out lady. Well behaved, quiet meows, and of course, gorgeous. I can not surrender her to CRAN or other rescue because her owner made me promise that I would personally find Lillie's next owner. Most if not all rescues make you sign over rights. They choose for you, which is not what Lillie's owner wanted. It was literally my lady's dying wish that this cat find a good home and that I be the one to find it for her. Lillie follows a special diet of lamb kibble and homemade pâté. I worked hard (over the course of a year) to find foods she can tolerate. Thus she cannot change her diet. The pâté is easy to make. If I can find someone locally to Veneta/Eugene I could potentially make and deliver her food myself once a month! Lillie has been to the vet recently and received a full exam. I will go over details with potential owner. Ideally she should go to a home with no other cats. I might** be willing to do a trail period with someone who has a lot of cat knowledge and already has one submissive cat. Lillie should remain an indoor cat unless new owner is able to offer supervised outside time in a fenced yard. I provide her outside time occasionally. She only likes it on sunny days for a short period of time and only if I am right there next to her. She should *not* be permitted to roam outside. Indoor only. Catio ok. Rehoming fee is $30. Caregiver is in he Eugene vicinity.
This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Your information will be forwarded to the owner for follow-ups and meeting arrangement. Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. We invite you to become a foster parent and experience the great satisfaction of helping a cat or kitten in need.
