Great Cats for Great Homes

This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more inI noticed Sally about 6 months when I moved into my current home. She was a beautiful calico that ran up to me while I was walking my dog. As I bent down to pet her, she rolled on her back, gently accepting and asking for more pets. When I stopped petting her, she jumped into my lap and placed her paws around my neck- claws in. What a sweetie. I figured she must belong to someone in the neighborhood.

As time went by, I would see Sally outside at all hours- very early and extremely late at night. Then one night I saw her get approached by the largest tomcat I’ve ever seen. She looked terrified and not long after I heard a cat fight. At this time I decided to bring her home and take her into a vet. She also looked to be pregnant and had a very uncomfortable rash all over her body.

Turned out Sally was not pregnant and the rash was actually a skin infection caused from fleas/mites. So now she’s doing SO much better! Sally has been spayed, vaccinated, and received medication for the skin issue. She is about the sweetest cat I’ve ever seen, giving hugs, laying and sleeping on your stomach, just loving human contact. I’ve slowly started introducing her to my cat and dog. It’s been a very slow process. If anything she just seems scared. She allows my chihuahua to snif her but also lets her know when she’s had enough.

My cat is definitely curious and Sally is allowing him to get closer and closer everyday but when he’s gotten too close, she will give a hiss. So overall, she’s very affectionate towards humans and curious but cautious towards other animals. She’s not much of a meower and she is 100% litterbox trained.
