Great Cats for Great Homes

  Joey is a sweet loving 9 year old cat. He loves pets but not too many snuggles. If he is feeling generous he might lay on you for a little bit, but definitely prefers to get pets while he standing. He will sleep with you at night, but only by your feet. In his older years he does not play that much but every now and then he will get a burst of energy and will want to play and run. He loves to run and jump. He is not too picky about his toys and will love just about anything. I rescued him when he was 6 years old. He grew up with dogs, cats, and kids and does well with all of them. He is a very sweet cat and does not talk much, that is unless you're late to his feeding. He responds very well to his name and knows when you are talking to him. Overall Joey is very easy going with no health concerns, he is fully updated with vaccinations and is neutered. The only thing Joey has is that if he eats too fast or eats new food (that includes treats and human food) he will throw up. He has been to the vet for his tummy issues, but the tests came back with no real treatable issue, but if you keep him on a feeding schedule and do not constantly change his food he will be less likely to vomit. Joey does well with transitions and adjusts to new settings in no time. Joey started his journey in Chicago, but then took a long road trip down to Texas found out he hated it there and then had an even longer road trip up to Portland and is enjoying it much better. He loves watching all the crows and the rain through the windows. He could stare out or nap under a window for hours. That is his favorite spot alongside a dark “hidden” spot for him. Joey is a sweetheart and I wish nothing more for him than to go to a sweet home, unfortunately due to my living situation I can no longer give him what he needs and it would be very selfish of me to keep him or at the very least to not try and find him a good home.
