Great Cats for Great Homes

Hi everyone – My name is Ronin which means “wandering Samurai” because I was found wandering around a busy street with nobody around to care for me.  I was lucky and the car that hit me didn’t do any damage other than to my ego!  No wandering into the street for me again as those loud machines don’t pay attention to little bits like me.  I was lucky, I wasn’t hurt but I sure learned my lesson that inside is the only life for me.  I was found by a lovely couple who brought me to the doctor who said I was just shaken up – nothing broken and nothing hurt.  I was lucky.

I was brought to my foster home with Cat’s cradle Rescue so I could find my forever home.  I sort of like where I am but my foster mom says that I am lonely without another cat that wants to play with me and maybe gentle children to pet and interact with me.  I love the Cat Dancer and things that make sounds like the woosh of a ball when I bat it across the floor.  Laser is fun too – I am just learning to chase the red light but it disappears when I get close – where does that darn thing go?

My favorite thing is to untie the laces on my person’s shoes.  I am really good at it too and you might not even know that I “gotcha” until you walk around.  I am quiet and friendly and don’t attack anything that isn’t a toy – sort of like those shoelaces.

I am trying to make friends with the older cat in my foster home.  He noses me and we sort of say HI but he doesn’t want to play with me and he thinks I am stupid the way I chase things that I am never going to catch.  He thinks he is so smart because he is LOTS older than me which is why my mom wants me to have a buddy closer to my age.

I use the litter box always.  I eat my canned food for breakfast and dinner always and I crunch on dry food during the day.  I sort of like a quieter house with not TOO much loud noise and talking.  I do like being around people so children and someone home to pick me up when I am lonely and sit by me would be so perfect.  I wouldn’t like a barking or noisy dog but maybe a quiet one would be ok.  

Yes, I am told I am beautiful with my Seal Point coloring.  I might get darker as I get older but for now I am a creamy beige color and my little brown mask matches my ears and tail and paws.  I am so color-coordinated!  If you can give me good food, medical care to keep me healthy and a snuggle when I ask for it I am your forever friend.  My mom will be choosy about where I land but I would love to hear your story – my adoption fee is $200.
