Great Cats for Great Homes

  This kitty is looking for a very special someone to take care of him. Terrance is a stray kitty who found the feral cat feeding station in our yard. He came to trust me over time, and he now has a warming bed in our garage, and plenty of food and pets. He is a sweet, sweet boy with an adorable meow who loves gentle head and chin rubs, curling up on my lap, and sleeping in bed with me. But Terrance is also unpredictable, and can scratch and bite suddenly. We tried to give Terrance a home in our house, but our other cat absolutely won’t accept him, so we had to return him to the garage. We also have a 10-year-old kiddo, which isn’t good with an unpredictable cat like this. It would be great if he were happy living in our garage, but he’s not. He sits in our window and outside our door all day, begging to come in again. He just wants to be warm and comfortable, and we can’t give him that. It breaks our hearts to see how unhappy he is in the cold and rain. We can’t let him go through another winter out there. We love him very much, and he deserves better. Terrance uses the litterbox like a gentleman and is tolerant of other cats, but afraid of dogs. He tolerates being picked up and can be put in a carrier. I assume he will need to be an indoor/outdoor cat. I’m looking for an adopter who is extremely cat savvy and has no children or dogs. Someone who is willing to get to know Terrance, learn when he needs space, and give and take affection in a Terrance-friendly way. Someone who loves having a cat in their lap. Terrance would like to be indoor only and a donation fee is requested.
