Domestic Short Hair / Mixed : : Female (spayed)
Hi, I'm Hope. Although I am not a vain cat, I do want you to know that my ears aren't as big as they look in these pictures. I'm in my awkward teenager stage (they think I'm around 10 months old), and that I'll grow into my ears. I am a very sweet kitty. I love people and want attention from them a lot. The people in my foster home are home a lot these days and I love all of the attention that they shower me with. I don't really like being held, but I always jump into the chair while they are sitting and I love sleeping next to them or on them. I am also very active. There are times where I will dart around and get in your way...but just kindly remind me and all will be ok. There is one other thing you need to know about me and it's not as much fun as I am. Just over a month ago I had a mild seizure. They took me to the vet (I do not like the vet by the way .) The vet ran some tests and said I had toxoplasmosis. Apparently that is something that is really common in cats but usually it doesn't make cats sick. For some reason it made me sick and it caused an infection where I had to take medication. After I finished my medicine I had to go back to the vet and he said I was better and I didn't have to take medicine any longer (yeah!) I have never had another seizure and the vet says I'm ready to go to my forever home, but anyone who wants to be my forever family needs to know that if I ever get immunocompromised I could get sick again. So it's really important that I go to a home that will make sure I stay indoors for the rest of my life.
My foster home has other cats and small dogs. I don't mind the other animals, but it's kind of nice not having to share the attention with other animals. My foster mom says I wouldn't be a good cat for families with small children as I don't like being held and I also tend to run for open doors.
