Great Cats for Great Homes

  Esme was an end-of-summer rescue from my neighborhood. She was very thin with scraggly fur and a pitiful meow. She came running across a field crying to me...so how could I resist. I believe she would not have survived a winter in the cold, wet and windy weather. Esme is a sweet, docile, loving cat. She will fall asleep on your lap and then dutifully sleep by your feet if you need to put her down. She prefer to sleep by herself at this point, somewhere partially enclosed (right now behind the bathroom door)... as her health has improved with high protein food, medication and clean water, she plays more and more. I am unable to knit if she's in the room...all yarn is hers. She has health issues -- hyperthyroidism and painful arthritis, both of which are under treatment with medication. I will answer any questions you may have about their administration and/or cost. She would need to be an inside cat only, although she does go out with a harness and leash for short periods of time. She has been flea treated and de-wormed. I am a single, elderly woman living on a limited and fixed income. I simply don't feel I can give her the best care. She has brought great happiness to me during the short time she has been with me, and it is with sincere sadness that I offer her to another, however, she needs a more energetic and financially secure home
