"Teal" is an all white, DSH, 3 year old neutered male cat, with heterochromia or "Odd-Colored" eyes of one blue and one green. Teal is going to need a very special, patient home as he was feral before being rescued during the Beachie Creek fires. We have worked with Teal for 3 months to get him to trust that humans are kind and loving. Teal needs a quiet, adult home with people who will go slow with him and are willing to isolate him (in a bedroom or den) and be careful about opening doors as he would bolt and you would never see him again, until he gets bonded to you. As his Foster, I can pick him up, set him on my lap for a few seconds.  He comes over for head pets, ear rubs and full body scratching. He purrs easily and "talks" to me. Teal doesn't mind the vacuum or TV or Music, but a loud bang or other loud unexpected noise will send him hiding and defensive. Adopter(s) must be keen on cat body language and behavior. i.e. a fast twitching tail means "Leave me alone". Teal uses the litter box like a champ and doesn't have destructive scratching behaviors. He would like a cat tree and a window to look out of. Teal MUST be indoor-only and would not do well with other animals or children. Please give Teal a look. He has so much love to give. Teal resides in Silverton with his Foster Mom and Dad.
