  My name is Malachi, just like the prophet. I prophecy that you and I will be best buds. I’m a number one companion; a real sucker for affection! My favorite place in the world is with you. There’s nowhere I’d rather spend my time. People tell me I’m a purr-fect conversationalist. I’ll always entertain you with my loving meows. Got a lap? You’ll be my best friend. There’s nothing better than a warm lap. I could spend all day there, especially if you let me sprawl out on my back—and most especially if you pamper me with nuzzles, pets, hugs, and kisses. I’m the cuddliest little guy on the Earth. I’ll even hug you back! I want to spend all my time with you. I’ll follow you to the moon and back! When you go off to work, I’ll wait at the window until you return, and before you can get the key in the door, I’m right there to greet you. I’m also very obedient, and will do as you tell me. I always want to please you. I got lost from my old home, and while I was astray, I got pretty beat up. One of the cats who attacked me had a disease called FIV, and now I have the same disease.** But providence led me to a Monastery—which is a neat place! The sisters who live here took me in and they have been taking good care of me. They keep me indoors, for which I am grateful. I have no desire to go outside and never complain. I want always to be an indoor cat. Although I love the sisters, they’re too busy with their strict schedule to give me the attention I need. I spend almost all my time alone, which breaks my heart. I want nothing more than a cuddle and a friend. They love me lots and want to see me happy, so they said they’d help me find you, so you could love me and cuddle me and spend all your time with me. I want to be your one and only love. Other cats tend not to like me very much. I have a heart only for you and I want to have you all to myself. I prophecy that you will come for me and fall madly in love with me. You’ve been searching for me all your life, I know it! I’m searching for you too. Is today the day? Will my prophecy come true? **Malachi tested positive for FIV (feline AIDS), and will need to be an indoor-only cat. It’s not contagious to humans, but it is contagious to other cats. With good food, lots of love, and proper medical care, he can live a regular life span.
