I call her "Velvet Elvis" because she is so soft and pretty, and in the cat world... yes, sexy! But don't worry, she is spayed. She has been a loyal one-person kitty, preferring not to socialize with visitors or my friends who come over. She is almost as playful as she was as a kitten; she loves to chase the lazer light and the "birdie" toy. Mz Pele is an awesome soccer player, I think pistachio nuts are her favorite toy, she will bat one around for a few minutes and then land it at my feet for another go. She is incredibly well behaved, from the get-go I had to do very little training. She is not a curtain climber or furniture ripper or any of that. She has been an indoor/outdoor girl, and patrols her territory like a guard dog! In fact, she's my alarm system too--she growls at anyone who walks up to the door. She's very alert to bugs and spiders, and includes them in her diet! (No need for any pesticides around here!!) She is quite independent. She doesn't like to be picked up (but I do it anyway, sometimes)--but will tuck in and snuggle at bed time. It will likely take a few weeks for her to learn that you are her new person, and warm up to you, but you will have a true friend thereafter. I'm so sorry I cannot keep my sweet Percy (short for full name, Persephone), but I'm selling my home and have an uncertain relocation plans. I want the best most loving home for my girl!
