Jolene is a gorgeous black kitten with a shy exterior and an affection-loving heart! This darling girl tends to be skittish around new people and environments but exhibits absolutely no aggression - she does a fantastic job of communicating likes and dislikes without biting or scratching. She will greatly appreciate having a cat tree with a hidey-hole while she adjusts to her new surroundings. While initially nervous a quick sniff of a gentle hand and the sound of a calming voice will have this girl rolling back and forth, seeking your affection in no time. She LOVES head rubs and will eagerly nuzzle and bury her face in your hand while she purrs away. Jolene is also a fan of front paw rubs and will gladly offer the privilege of massaging them when she knows you’re a safe human. Hit her with the double whammy of paw and face rubs and don’t be surprised when she falls asleep on your hand! While truly a fan of affection she probably won’t be a lap cat. Jolene also enjoys a bit of play and has a particular fondness for track toys, especially when you bat the ball around with her. This sweet girl definitely prefers the quiet life and would probably do best in a home without young children. She seems curious about other cats and might be fine with a gentle and friendly kitty friend. She hasn’t been tested around dogs but, given her skittish reaction to loud noise and sudden movements, it’s probably not the best idea. Jolene is the ideal kitten for someone looking for a calm, well-behaved and affectionate kitty with just the right amount of independence.
