  Checkers (9 years old) tends to keep to herself most of the time but she does enjoy playing around. She's especially fond of hair bands. She is very affectionate once she gets to know her surroundings. She loves to cuddle if you let her. She is an indoors-only cat as she has her front claws removed. She plays well with her hairless roommate (Sphinx cat) and will occasionally play with our dog (hypoallergenic, Schnauzer). Unfortunately, over the last 4 years we have become asthmatic and allergic to her and we cannot give her the love she deserves. We want to find her an owner who can play, pet and hold her the way we used to be able to. She is a wonderful cat.
