Great Cats for Great Homes

We must part with our beloved cat, Tomaz. He is a 9 year old male and very sweet. Never bites or scratches. He is healthy and affectionate.  He needs a home where he can freely go outside during the day but come in to snuggle at night. He is surprisingly soft. He can be territorial with certain neighborhood cats but others he tolerates.  (The mice in the neighborhood don't like him at all!!) He lived with a female cat in the house without a problem but another male cat in house may not work well. We are sad to let him go but he is not happy unless he can be outside and we can no longer provide that for him.   I am moving into an apartment.  We have to sell our family home and both my children are going to college out of state. Tomaz is good with children.  He grew up with my kids and always loved to sleep with them.  He is very affectionate and seeks people out to cuddle with.  He never bites or scratches, even when we have to put him in his cat carrier.  He is up-to-date on all of his vaccines and is in good health.  We never had a dog.  He tolerated our friends’ dogs when they visited – if anything he liked to tease them    but I can’t be sure how he would react living with one. He has a surprisingly tiny voice for his size and only meows when he gets impatient waiting by the door or his food bowl.  Our yard is fenced in but he is able to scale it and spends time walking on it’s edge. He never scratches the furniture because he files his nails outside.  He is honestly a wonderful, easy going kind of cat.  Although he is fine inside for a day or two or when the weather is bad,  he is generally miserable when he can’t go outside.  We really think he is special and are anxious to find him a good place. He is very sweet and loving.  It is not an easy thing to part with him.
